What we collect

• Your account email address and a securely hashed password, we never store or can see your actual password
• The product data you enter or import: SKU names, weekly units, and margin figures
• A history of your saved data over time, so you can track changes
• Basic account details you provide, like your name and, if given, a phone number for support callbacks

How your data is used

Your product data is used only to power the shelf-optimization calculations and history shown to you inside your own account. It is not shared with, or visible to, any other SlottedAI customer.

AI processing

Certain features, reading messy or unfamiliar file formats, reading a shelf photo, and answering support questions, send the relevant data to an AI provider for processing. Today that's Anthropic's Claude API; this data is not used to train Anthropic's models under their standard API terms. As our infrastructure evolves, we may use additional AI providers under similar terms.

Data retention

• Your current data and saved history are kept for as long as your account is active.
• History is capped at the most recent 52 saved points, roughly a year of weekly saves, to keep things fast; older points roll off automatically.
• If you use "Clear all data," a backup is created automatically. That backup is not deleted on any automatic schedule, it's kept so your data can be restored, and is removed when your account itself is closed.
• If you close your account, your data is deleted, except where we're required to retain something for a legitimate legal or security reason.

We do not sell your data

SlottedAI does not sell, rent, or share your product data with third parties for marketing or any other purpose outside of operating the product itself.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every possible threat, but here's specifically what's in place:

• Encrypted in transit. Every connection to SlottedAI uses HTTPS.
• Encrypted at rest. Your data is stored on disks that are encrypted at rest by our hosting provider, automatically, including daily backups.
• Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. We can't see your actual password, and neither could anyone who ever accessed our systems.
• Role-based access. Owner, Manager, and Stocker roles genuinely restrict what's visible, financial and margin data is hidden from roles that don't need it, not just hidden in the interface but blocked at the account level.
• Isolated per account. Your data is kept separate from every other SlottedAI customer's. No one else can see it.
• Real math, not AI guesses. The actual profit and ranking numbers you see come from real calculations on your own data, not from an AI model generating or estimating figures.

Your rights

You can export your data at any time using the Export feature, and you can close your account at any time. If you'd like your data deleted or have any other question about what we hold, contact your SlottedAI representative directly.

California privacy

This policy is intended to provide the disclosures required by California's Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). SlottedAI does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, since we don't engage in the kind of cross-site tracking that signal is meant to address.

SlottedAI is an early-stage business and may not currently meet the thresholds that trigger the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). If that changes as we grow, we'll update this policy and our data-request process to reflect whatever rights apply.

Children

SlottedAI is a business tool, not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that's happened, we'll take reasonable steps to delete it.

International users

SlottedAI is operated from the United States. If we later offer the service internationally in a meaningful way, we'll add whatever additional privacy disclosures or safeguards that requires at the time.

Third-party service providers

We rely on outside providers to operate SlottedAI, for example, AI processing, hosting, payment processing, and email delivery. These providers receive only what's needed to perform their function, under their own confidentiality and data-handling commitments. This list may change as our infrastructure evolves.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll do our best to let you know directly rather than silently updating this page.
